Anal Gland Expression (Cost $15) 

An optional extra, our qualified veterinary nurse can express anal glands to prevent impaction. In dogs, these glands are occasionally referred to as "scent glands", because they enable the animals to mark their territory and identify other dogs. If not regularly expressed anal glands may become infected and abcess. If you dog needs this service please let our staff know at time of booking appointment.
